At S.H.E. UK, we know that every grant, donation, and act of support helps to keep our doors open for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual violence, and rape. Each contribution, large or small, plays a vital role in allowing us to continue providing life-changing services such as counselling and peer support, to enable survivors to make progress on their personal healing journey.
We’re delighted to share that we’ve recently received a number of small but significant grants that will help us continue our work in the coming months. So, thank you to the following organisations for these grants:
- Lady Hind Trust who granted us £5,000 and Thomas Farr Charity who awarded us £3,000 as contributions to running our award winning, SHE-roes Lounge and peer group – enabling us to facilitate life-changing self-development courses and healthy social connections, reducing isolation and building confidence.
- Proceeds of Crime who have awarded us £5,000 to support our specialist therapy services.
- St Edmunds Partner Shop who granted us £1,000 to support our core running costs.
We are deeply grateful to each of these funders for believing in our mission to improve the lives of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and sexual violence. These grants allow us to provide essential support services, and maintain the core operations that make our services possible.
However, while these awards are incredibly valuable, they represent only a fraction of what’s needed to keep S.H.E. UK running. Our services remain under significant demand, and the cost of providing specialist, trauma-informed support continues to rise. Continued and sustainable funding is vital if we are to remain a lifeline for survivors across our community.
If you’d like to help us build on this momentum, you can:
- Set up a regular donation to provide ongoing support.
- Share our work and help raise awareness of the challenges survivors face and the support we provide.
- Get in touch with us if you are interested in corporate sponsorship or fundraising partnerships.
To everyone who has supported us, we thank you. Together, we can continue to make recovery possible.
